Setting the Scene

I want to make my position clear to you so that you

can understand the context of this journey.

The date is 3rd March 2017, I am 19 years old in my second year of university and I intend to take a journey down the path of money management and write down each lesson and experience as I go. This means you will get to experience the authentic journey of a young university student learning financial lessons and seeing how they are applied in reality. My hopes are that someday in the future when I am a lot more developed and (hopefully!) successful, people will be interested in how I got to where I am (or will be?) and they will be able to access each lesson as if they were right here with me all along.

I also want to point out that I am living a student lifestyle of noodle lunches and dinner, so money isn’t a luxury I have to play around with. I have taken out my student loan money to experiment with which is a risky move but it also proves that everything I talk about is definitely available to any student. I am aware that this isn’t my money, but due to the fact that it has 0% interest on it, I perceive it as simply borrowing from myself in the future. I also trust that the knowledge I’m acquiring now will easily make more than the amounts I am taking from my future. So every story you read about me putting $1,000 here and another $1,000 there, please be aware that I am not rich and don’t have anything to back it up (just yet). All I am running off is my drive to learn, the power of knowledge and ultimately my confidence in my good God who’s got my back no matter what.

I hope you enjoy running through this journey with me!

Most people work for money, but I am on a journey to flip the scales and make money work for me… literally. I want to watch it work from 9 to 5 as I spend my life doing things that matter to me.
