Hello and welcome!
My name is Nathan Faleatua and this is going to be a space where I share my journey from wage to wealth.
Yes I started off on minimum wage, but you might be wondering what allows me to say that I am heading towards wealth. To me true wealth goes deeper than just the finances, but these characteristics I practise have allowed me to pull off some great financial feats such as:
- Funding my entire wedding on my own which was close to $30,000
- Buying a house at the age of 21 years old with no tricks like equity from parents or some inheritance
- Earning 6 figures at the age of 22 and replacing my wife’s job
Now if you know me then you’ll know that I hate talking so much about myself, but I want to be as real and transparent as possible, and I have so much that I want to share so if these credentials help catch your attention then I’m all for it.
It didn’t start off so bright though, I knew nothing about how to manage my own money even after doing a degree in accounting and finance. So I decided to start a journey of learning how to manage my own money and this is essentially how Wage to Wealth was born.
At the time of this episode I am 23 years old so I have been through a lot already, but in reality the journey started way back in university when I was 19. This first piece of writing I ever did is labelled ‘setting the scene’ and I think it does that perfectly so I’m going to kick things off by sharing it.
I hope to enjoy it and follow along with the rest of my story.
